Summary
SoundCloud is recognized for its unique artist-listener community and for making music discovery more personal and accessible. However, as the platform has expanded, artists and listeners have reported difficulty navigating certain features, especially those related to discovery, playlist creation, and creator tools.
To better understand how different user groups interact with the Soundcloud mobile app, I worked with a team of five researchers to design and conduct a comprehensive usability study evaluating the app’s core experience across listener and artist workflows among both users and non-users.
